Have you been shopping lately, or feeling uninspired by the in-between weather? Spring is a fun time to experiment and refresh- even if that’s just a quick closet reorganization or a new button down. I wanted to share some recent finds as well as document my thought process around these purchases. None of these were impulse buys, because despite having a shopping newsletter, I’m often an over thinker when it comes to my personal wardrobe!
Sea embroidered jacket // Jil Sander clutch // White shorts // Tortoise sunnies // Goop balm (fave shade is Venus) // Vince Jelly Slides
The Buy- Vince Jelly slides, $198
The Why- First of all, not have to tie my shoes is a big win right now. Secondly, I expect to be spending lots of time poolside this summer and I love that these can be ‘pool shoes’ but also worn with real clothes. I’ve also been want to dip my toe (sorry) into the Burgundy trend and these are a nice, not overly committal way to do that.
The How- Counting on these to dress up my beach/pool fits, but also add some playfulness to casual daytime looks this spring.

The Buy- Tibi red pants, $445. // other notable red pants here- under $100 at J.Crew , Comme Si $170, dressier belted version from Sandro
The Why- Seems like I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect red pants most of my pregnancy, so I bought my favorite Tibi pair (the nylon Winslows) in red, in an in between size for postpartum. A splurge, yes, but when I factor in that I wear these in black 3-4 times a week it felt like a no-brainer. They also come in short, whereas the other brands I’d been eyeing (Donni, Leset, etc.) would likely require a hem.
The How- Red is a neutral for me. Will pair these with tan, black, brown and white basics or a red tank for a head to toe look. Can also change the length with the interior snaps and do a short heel to make the sporty nylon dressier.

The Buy- Loulou studio crochet top, $290 (10% off with code FWRD10)
The Why- Been eyeing this for a long time, it will transition from pregnancy to postpartum well, and is nicely made. Fits the ‘boho’ trend but also my personal style. An easy layering piece.
The How- With camo pants to counterbalance the feminine vibes, or with a slip dress and sneakers.

The Buy- Hunting Season Woven tote, $450 (small version here)
The Why- I consigned a lot of my totes last Fall after not wearing them over the summer and tried to hone in on what will serve me best (and, fit some baby essentials!). The beaded detail is fun, too. I’m more drawn to black woven totes and think they work well into other seasons. Its now pretty much a requirement for totes to have long shoulder straps (not pictured, but this one does) so I can be hands free while chasing my daughter.
The How- With everything! Dresses, bike shorts and sweaters, to the beach.

The Buy- Remain striped button down, $180 (extra 10% off with code CANDY)
The Why- Felt very drawn to these colors, love this brand for ‘elevated basics’ (I know we’re all sick of that term, sorryyy). Will transition from pregnancy to postpartum (btw runs on the bigger side, I got my usual size).
The How- Love the thought of using it to dress down a maxi slip on a breezy summer evening, or belted over short shorts, tied across my waist to add a little texture….. the possibilities are endless!
BTW……
Felt like a good time to remind you that there’s a purse friendly version of everyone’s favorite moisturizer (and only $22 before you use their codes) Mine has been coming in extra handy lately.
Speaking of beauty products, I normally use cream blush but could easily make an exception for this gorgeous compact trio. Another spring-friendly compact is this butterfly eyeshadow - I ordered the gold (to pair with this eyeliner, in Antique) and will report back.
Was panicked I needed a new canvas tote for baby #2 and then remembered I have this one- love the military olive shade.
It’s officially official, JW is leaving LOEWE as creative director. I wrote about my love for his designs here (& shared my favorite pieces from Loewe’s new arrivals)- also enjoyed this recap from VOGUE.
so many fun new things on Shopbop for spring/summer.. reminder that I update my hearts daily here.

Last week was filled with high highs and low lows- the lowest low being that our landlords decided that they want to move back into the house we rent from them!! So we have a few short months to find a new home. Very ironic because I had planned on a post detailing all my ‘nesting’ buys, and now i’m second guessing every home purchase I want to make bec…
The first look so deeply speaks to me! The sea jacket, and their gray cardigan in that same style, keep tempting me.
That crochet top 😍😍😍
