Happy Friday, friends! Here's my best of the internet round up this week.
silver mirrorball necklace - under $100 and would layer nicely with a silver chain.
Nelle Atelier spring launch- How I can’t wait for this arrival! I got the Laura in Pearl and am picturing wearing them with a crop top and my favorite flats or a chunky grey sweater come fall. Btw, not to toot my own horn (but toot toot!), I was one of the first substack girlies to share Nelle and interview their founder, Madeleine (shoutout to my longtime bff Miranda who introduced us). Read here.
An under $100 find to put a little prep in your step - bought this for myself (order true to size for an oversized look)
Carven’s new collection has landed at Net-A-Porter. - I spent the most $ I’ve ever spent on a jacket and am patiently awaiting her arrival (I just know my father is shaking his head as he reads that. Sorry, Dad!)
- ‘s How Do you Shop in LA? has me laughing, because it is so painfully relatable. If I am going to shop IRL, I prefer to do it in NY. There, I said it! (more on my favorite NY shops here).
A two piece summer set from Moda that is very SATC coded to me. I wore a skirt from this brand to my bday dinner date with my husband and I love it. These embellished jeans are fun, too.
Promise you won’t regret buying your toddler one of these Gap baseball caps. Too cute!
My superbowl, aka the Met Gala, is approaching. (well… my Super Bowl unless the team my husband works for is playing. Then I do pay attention). Can’t wait to see what everyone, and by everyone I mean Zendaya, wears.
One of my favorite DFW stores, Rare Heart Vintage, made it onto Vogue’s best vintage shops list! I was there in 2018 for their opening weekend in with my best friend and stocked up on Harley tees I still love to wear. Definitely check it out if you’re in the area.
Got these beautiful Dries sandals from my sister as a birthday gift and now it’s my turn to shop for her birthday next week. Bought her these, these, and maybe the perfect going out top?
My best Sephora sale buy was this lipliner (shade 2C). Thank you to my mom who reminded me of it’s existence.
Consider these the grown up (and possibly more corporate friendly? idk) version of the infamous Tory pierced flats from last season (which I think are still very cool). Love! Also of note from Shopbop’s new arrivals - this tie-dye dress, these sneaks, and a pretty beaded bag. Oh also I want this dress- perfect for an outdoor event or just surviving the (eventual) summer heat.
If you have the new Kacey Musgraves album on repeat, you need this candle. Love her ongoing collaboration with Boy Smells. If you’re more of a slow burn girl, they have those too and I can confirm they smell amazing.
No matter how you feel about the Call Her Daddy podcast, there’s no denying that Mimi Cuttrell absolutely killed it with styling Alex Cooper (aka ‘Father Cooper’) for her Mexico wedding. I loved every look, especially the 1995 Versace corset top and silk skirt. See it all here.
Speaking of vintage, here’s some secondhand fun via TRR- first up is this Miu Miu tote, a leopard Supreme overshirt that would be a great jacket, a Prada keychain, and this very special Dries skirt.
The Alaïa Le Teckel bag is in high demand!
mentioned her difficulty finding one (and ultimately buying the studded version, which I consider superior!), and that Alaïa will be introducing versions in multiple colors soon. I bought mine off Italist in February and it was the only bag I packed for my trip to New York earlier this month. Seems like there are a few on the Alaïa site now right now, if you’re on the hunt.
More outfit fun - I finally became an Alex Mill girl. Love this Khaki Frontier jacket, sign up for a restock notification here.
I have been on the hunt for a nice, slightly oversized black crewneck sweater for a minute! It’s a taller order than I would have initially thought. Still haven’t found ‘the one’, but when I do I’ll share.
Okay, have a great weekend and stay tuned for my next letter because I’ll (finally, and by request) be sharing my bag charm breakdown.
xo, Liz
Alex Cooper's wedding looks reminded me a bit of Sofia Richie's wedding transformation. Sofia's was over the top and (in my opinion) perfect - nothing compares! BUT I felt the same way watching Alex, thinking, "wow this is all so grown up and sophisticated!" It was fun to watch.
So many delights! Thank you for sharing. Home with Covid or would prob be at Jil Sander now praying the flats hurt. XO.
