First of all, thanks for clicking on whatever link led you here. I’m Liz, and this is Bad Influence, aka my new space for sharing my ever evolving shopping list, closet clean out hacks, beauty must haves and an occasional life update.
I’ve been wanting to start this newsletter for a hot minute, but life, aka finding out I’m pregnant and subsequently giving birth kind of took over last year.
Why the name?
I am a bad influence- not in the traditional sense, but definitely on your wallet. If something reminds me of you, I’ll send you the link. If you ask me where I got my shoes, I’ll tell you where you can find them on sale. If you like my vintage Chanel bag, I’ll tell you what to search for on The Real Real.
Sensing a pattern? I wanted to be able to share all of these things in one place, on one platform, as opposed to worrying about whether or not an algorithm is going to show you my content.
The name of this newsletter also comes from the fact that I haven’t been a great influencer in the past year. In case you’re not familiar- I spent about 4 years as a stylist, social media consultant, vintage curator and social media influencer, but once I got pregnant most of this went on the back burner as I was too sick to get out of bed for awhile. Postpartum reignited my love for fashion and I went through a bit of a style evolution. Having myself (okay, and a baby) as my only styling client was fun, but I missed sharing too much to go completely off the grid.
I want this newsletter to be a place where you can find outfit inspiration, style advice, products and clothes that suit you. I truly think fashion is a really important form of self expression and that getting dressed should be fun.
Additionally, I’ve gotten super into skincare and I will be using this space to share more on that, too.
