Hi friends! This letter was meant to go out Tuesday, then Wednesday and now the week is almost over but I am finally able to press send. This letter is done in bullet points because that felt easiest. With lots of big real life stuff happening, fashion and beauty have been a bigger escape for me than usual as of late. My wardrobe is feeling a bit limited- more on that later, but I plan on spending today styling looks with pieces I already own for another letter coming soon. In the meantime, here’s what been on my mind:
My favorite serum has been restocked here. I can tell a major difference when I use it consistently - especially in the forehead and neck areas. It also doesn’t go on too thick so it’s easy to apply moisturizer after.
SO many good pieces included on the Shopbop sale, which ends at midnight tonight (15% off $200+, 20% off $500+, 25% off $800+ with code STYLE). I love this Tibi sweatshirt, a two pack of my favorite tee as well as many more Leset pieces, a studded black jacket (my personal weakness), cozy silk pjs (these are in my cart), a few sizes left in this classic cropped leather jacket, the iconic Simone Rocha bag, a few Sold Out NYC pieces, including a classic button down and this dress that I wore all summer.
I am, of course, like every other millennial woman, watching Nobody Wants This. WHAT A SHOW (especially if you were/are a Seth Cohen girl like myself). I find some of Kristen Bell’s outfits to be mildly questionable, otherwise… no notes!
My daughter turns two this weekend….!!! I know it’s so eye roll inducing to hear a parent say I can’t believe it, but…. I really can’t believe it. I do not mention her too much on here for the sake of her privacy but being her mom really is the best part of my life. Anyway- I have a MyTheresa credit so I have been browsing on there- I did not know Veja made kid sneakers and got her this pair. They pass my kid shoe requirement of no suede but are definitely a birthday treat!
You may have seen on my stories, but I recently went to a Sunday Riley. masterclass and had such a fantastic time! Having Sunday herself educate us on the products was really cool. My biggest product takeaway was that their Auto-Correct eye cream remains top tier (and is apparently used by Beyonce’s make up artist?!). It can be used around the entire eye area and mixed with concealer for an extra boost! I also got the chance to use their Pink Drink peptide spray and actually like it better than the Tower28 one I’ve been a long time fan of (no weird smell, and my skin absorbs it faster).
This jacket was a bit of an impulse buy a few months ago, but when we had a lovely week of Fall weather last month, I really enjoyed wearing it. It’s the Frontier Jacket by Alex Mill, and it’s still in stock as of today. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a transitional jacket or something you can comfortably layer with a chunkier knit.
You know those great pieces you almost forget about, then rediscover? That’s this lace top for me. I wore it with the Alex Mill jacket (pictured above) for game day and it was perfect. It would also look great with a bra top like this under if you’re feeling more daring (or if you want to play it on the safer side like me, I wore this skims tank under mine). Can also be found here in black (tempting!).
My husband bought me this really beautiful vintage emerald and diamond necklace as part of my ‘push present’ when I had our daughter (yes, push presents are maybe an antiquated thing at this point but as my mom advised me when I brought this up- turning down free jewelry is silly) and I am frequently asked where to find a similar version. Dorsey, one of my all time favorite brands (their founder, Meg, is not only mom goals but an incredibly stylish and cool person) introduced their curve necklace, which is a modern version made with lab grown emeralds and diamonds. LOVE.
I absolutely love spooky season… but personally, I hate Halloween costumes. I would rather wear orange and black than buy a costume I will wear once. HOWEVER- have you seen the Prada x Universal Studios collaboration? I believe it was released around 2013. Very random, but also very cool, and pretty Halloween-esque with Frankenstein prints. I have a saved search on TheRealReal in hopes of finding a piece- loving this button down.
ok, talk soon. please tap the heart below or forward to a fellow fashion-lover if you have a minute. xo, Liz
I have so many questions that feel silly but perhaps will continue to distract from everything? (1) I want every last detail of the look you are wearing at the Sunday Riley event (2) happy early birthday to your daughter; 2 is one of my FAVORITE ages and (3) everyone has been RAVING about Kristen Bell’s outfits in Nobody Needs This and I can’t figure it out. She’s in mostly jeans and a going out top, no? 😂
So glad to see you here, creating ❤️
