and saying bye to March

It feels like a true Monday over here! Running on limited sleep, panicking about how much there is to get done in these next few weeks before baby #2’s arrival and gloomy weather. But! We bought a house last week and I’m very excited. Naturally, I’ve been spending what limited free time I have on Pinterest and browsing for new furniture. It feels like we’re finally getting our first grown-up space since living in L.A. and I’m so eager to make it feel like a home. Here’s what’s inspiring me as we head into a new month…

1. Kelly Wearstler- Her outfits are just as inspiring as the cool spaces she designs. Case in point, this amazing pj’s-but-not look. Did you know she’s on Substack? Tagging here for you-

2. CB2 marble lamps- With our house hunt officially over, I have started to think about how I want to decorate our space. One thing I definitely want to invest in is a set of marble lamps. We can’t yet have a marble coffee table (toddler life), but I’d love to put these on a console or dresser.

3. A great haircut - Took advantage of the pregnancy hormones and grew out my hair….. but now I feel like it’s a little too long and I’m missing the ease of shorter locks. Grass is always greener! Been using this amino-acid shampoo/conditioner to keep it shiny.

4. Monogrammed make-up bag- Even if you aren’t into monogrammed sheets or towels, you can’t deny the practicality of an embroidered toiletry bag. Bought mine from The Millenial Decorator, but also love these.

5. Mini mascara- The Sephora sale starts Friday, mark your calendars! I’ll be sharing a full rundown of my recs but consider a mini of your favorite mascara for on the go touch-ups as you’re building your cart. My favorite is by Iris and Romeo because it doesn’t bother my sensitive eyes.

6. Lulu & Georgia x Aimee Song- I LOVE this collection. These pieces are the perfect modernize but mix with what you already own furnishings to me. I’m eyeing the nightstands and Etna stool.

7. Jil Sander shoes- Currently convinced that a good red shoe is the best thing to dress up an all black look. How about these flats, too?!

8. Martine Rose graphic button down- Fun fact- the people on this top are her employees! I just think that’s so special. (in case you’re unfamiliar with the name see: Kendrick’s Super Bowl fit).

9. Sea shorts- What is it about the latest Sea collection?! It’s the right amount of prep, a tiny bit of whimsical but sophisticated enough to be super wearable. So many clicks on this jacket from my post a few weeks ago and I think it would pair perfectly with their peplum-esque shorts.

10. Thatch Amazonite Heart- Love these pendants as layering pieces, and the Amazonite color is gorgeous. Could also be fun on a leather cord. (use code LIZM15 for a little discount).

11. Interior Inspo- I’m soaking it all in these days and realizing curating a home is a lot like curating a wardrobe except (generally) more expensive! Trying to strike the perfect balance of mixing our current stuff with some great new things. I bought this book last night to fuel my imagination.
