Remember all the great movies in the early 2000s with incredible sleepover scenes? (if you answered no, you probably don’t need eye cream) To list a few- 13 going on 30, Sleepover, Princess Diaries 2, and even Bring it On…!!! (also Meg Ryan looking adorable while sick in my favorite movie of all-time, You’ve Got Mail) These movies would have you believe that cute, matching pjs are a given on a nightly basis.
Personally, not so much! My husband has been out of town for work for almost two weeks and all I want to do is crawl into bed after putting our daughter down and taking care of our two pups. I have been making myself a cup of hot tea and doing just that and also throwing on whatever is A- clean, and B- easy to grab. This typically means an old t-shirt I have deemed too ugly to be worn in public but for some reason won’t get rid of and mismatched boxer shorts. It’s not my *best* look, and would never have you believing I am my mother’s daughter- she always wears a matching set.
Sharing my best findings below. Side note- I think a lot of these sets can be mixed and matched for maximum wearability. Boxer shorts and slip dresses can easily be worn as non-pjs with the right shoes and accessories.
Lunya silk set // grey ruffles (ordered this set for myself) // blue gingham // white linen // pink short sleeves // yellow floral
floral maxi // pink toile // blue gingham // navy sleep shirt // lavender floral // simple slip
classic white set // navy floral // fancy blue silk // green geometric // Heather grey // cotton floral
Honorable mentions….
Never underestimate a nice, silk cami. I prefer them cropped, like this one. If you are feeling extra patriotic after seeing Simone Biles win her 7th gold medal (who isn't?!), this Skims olympic t-shirt dress looks cute and comfy. I really like these boxers, they’re nice and lightweight for summer and not just for sleeping imo. The eye mask pictured above is from slip’s latest astrology collection- such a cute gift idea! I keep this lip mask on my nightstand and it’s usually the last step in my nighttime beauty routine.
BTW.

shop by numbers
One thing about paint by numbers that I admire is it puts everything into neat little boxes, something I’ve never been particularly great at. But I do try! (it’s actually sad how hard I try). I’m more of an abstract girl when it comes to painting.
my no-fail packing process
Listen, I used to really overpack. As in, a long weekend trip would have me shoving half of my belongings into a checked bag, scrambling to get to the airport on time, and sitting on the plane in an absolute panic, wondering what the heck was in my suitcase. It was not until my late twenties that I realized A- too much stuff can ruin a trip, and B- a fe…
Love this post!! Love those grey ruffle pajamas. I just got the Drowsy eye mask and am so obsessed - it’s maybe my 10th eye mask and favorite by far!
Eye mask from slip is the shit girls! I got mine on NET-A-PORTER, and wow. It basically protects your lashes from friction by sitting away from your eyelids with the extra cushions. SOOOO GOOD.
Liz, great post as usual xx
