I’m sitting on the floor of my closet feeling dazed after spending an unhealthy amount of time online buying gifts for my sister, my husband, my daughter, my mom, my best friends, my daughter’s teacher and someone else I’m sure I forgot to list. No, I didn’t just drink a CBD soda-(thought I might later) I’m in a bit of a gift fog, if you will. The holiday season can be overwhelming for those who carry the load of gift buying, wrapping, and giving. Not to mention the task of organizing it all and, if you’re a micromanaging eldest daughter (like myself) having lengthy discussions with your mom about what we’re doing for each person on our respective lists. What I mean to say from all this is- you (we) deserve a break. In the spirit of self-care in the form of shopping, I’ve asked some of my most stylish friends what they bought themselves this holiday season for today’s bonus newsletter.

I’m treating myself to The Row’s Penelope hat and justifying it as a practical expense for my first New York winter.

I bought myself this Ottolinger shopper. I’ve been eyeing something from them for a while and thought this shopper was a great introduction piece to the brand. I love the way the faux fur straps give the bag a unique look and change the silhouette of any outfit. It brings the drama to whatever I’m wearing.

Have been focusing on my home recently and I’ve bought myself some great vintage pieces, but I am most excited about my new bed from Spears Furnishing. It’s from the 70s with matching upholstered end tables and had never been slept in until we bought it! I also got new sheets from Pact that I absolutely love. I bought myself the discovery set from Fugazzi Fragrances and will be gifting myself a full size of Sugar Daddy.

I splurged on this Margaux bag from The Row for Christmas after I’ve been eyeing it on every cool girl I admire. I didn’t own a tote bag and I dieddddd for the Bordeaux color. So when we went to New York and the SA at Bergdorf’s whipped it out, I held it for approx 30 seconds and well, here we are, no regrets.

And finally, what did I buy myself? Starting a fashion newsletter has been great for my closet and bad for my wallet so there have been many purchases lately (it is so bad that I asked my husband if we should get our UPS guy a Christmas present) but I would say my most notable one was this Khaite jacket. I had been eyeing it for quite awhile and when I saw it come back in stock in my size I hit purchase immediately.
