cyber weekend- the best sales, shopping smart, and all the random sh*t I'm buying
happy shopping to all!
Hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving with their loved ones. Thank you for reading, sharing and subscribing! It means so much to me to have your support on this new venture. Now, let’s get into what we're really here for: a guide to navigating this crazy weekend of shopping chaos.
Pictured above is a selection of picks curated by me for those who want inspiration. I call them no-fail because they’re versions of something I think everyone should invest in- pumps that work in the office or at a holiday party. a cool graphic tee. a quality carry-on. a cozy cashmere cardigan. a great black bag. a cropped sweater vest. cute but not too cutesy metallic flats. a studded belt to update your jeans and a tee moment. cool girl sunnies. a hydrating lipstick.
I’m going into this cyber sale weekend with a few thoughts/rules in mind:
If I wouldn’t buy it full price, I won’t buy it now.
How does it look with the rest of my wardrobe? (i.e. is it so out there that I don’t have a jacket, shoes or a bag it pairs well with? if so, pass)
Do I have anything similar? I almost bought these fabulous Birkenstocks but then realized I already own these. I may be a California girl, but I do not need two pairs of pink birks.
Will I wear it in the next six months? If so, when? This mostly applies to formal dresses/fancy footwear.
Did my heart race when I saw it marked down because I’d been eyeing it? that’s what happened to me with this amazingly marked down Wales Bonner dress, so I checked out immediately.
another tip- Take a look around your closet prior to shopping (because, let’s be honest, shopping will mostly occur while you and your significant other half watch a movie on the couch). Notice the colors, silhouettes, patterns and general vibe you’re drawn towards. Unless you’re trying to shake things up, use this as a guide of sorts.
and a reminder- it’s okay if you don’t buy anything! this is a shopping newsletter that is very pro shop your closet, too! stay tuned for a post on that coming soon.
what I bought:
lots of cute toddler clothes, including this. a cardigan I already own but in another color (can attest it is very soft). this crazy JPG parka coat that will certify me as that weird artsy mom at daycare drop off (if the rest of my outfits haven’t already). a gorgeous knit dress I can’t wait to wear. a mesh skirt I’ve been eyeing for months. a funky knit tank. a slip dress (under $100) I will wear with said crazy parka coat. chic camo pants that I will dress up with heels or down with a t-shirt for playground outings. also, because I am unable to resist- a fancy candle and a black dress. Finally, I bought this LV bag from TheRealReal a few weeks ago, so maybe it doesn’t technically count but they have lots of designer bags heavily marked down this weekend - this one and this one are beauties.

BEAUTY
a strong eye cream (really necessary for any of my fellow toddler moms). one of these if you don’t already own. the strongest brow gel I’ve ever used. the best straightener. the 5 minute face kit (purchased this myself). a quality stocking stuffer. superior face cleanser. a luxe lipstick set. fancy body oil.
A note on these and any future beauty products I recommend- these are all things that have worked for me, from brands I love. makeup and skincare can be tricky and I wouldn’t recommend something I haven’t tried myself.
Okay, I hope this guide has been thorough enough. as always, DM me with questions/comments/ and tell me what you bought. I’m adding a subscribe button below- if you enjoyed this post and want to receive more like it, enter your e-mail!

These shopping rules need to be put into law to help society during these times 😂
