these tanning drops- read this interview and decided if they’re good enough for Cillian Murphy, they’re good enough for me. I like them better than some of the more popular brands out there, especially for my face.
cozy fleece! - Threw it on last weekend over sweats before a walk and with this set for another outing.
my red bag (restocked here)- Holds everything and the shade of red is just perfect
denim trench- I just rediscovered this amazing transitional piece thanks to my closet clean-out and have loved wearing it. price has increased since I purchased mine (annoying) but I found one is significantly marked down here.
camo pants - Surprisingly versatile and a nice way to give your jeans a break.
this journal - Cute enough to be left out on your bedside table, big enough for lots of notes & small enough to shove into a carry-on.
hair masks- I have a usual go-to, but just ordered this because I hear great things and also got this to protect my color between appointments.
the coziest sweater in my closet (now on sale) - no notes.
this bag because it’s absolutely perfect- don’t own it, just manifesting!
the prettiest jacket- tweed with leather details, ladylike with an edge. The colors are absolutely perfect for transitioning from winter to spring, too. ugh, why am I so good at talking myself into buying things? can you see why I’m doing no-buy January now?!
natural deodorant that actually works- Feels like I tried them all during pregnancy and this is the first I don’t have to reapply.
coffee table books. lots of them. in the spirit of valentine’s day, I just ordered this one.
The Real Real - I have a love hate relationship with this site (like when I sell a nice dress with them and make $14), but some of my best finds have come from here. Someone please buy this Khaite trench so I don’t.
this mug- Do I have to get rid of it once my daughter is able to read? I really hope not.
anything & everything Tibi-
is truly a genius. In case you’ve been eyeing something, too, they’re having their biannual sale right now. I’m eyeing leather pants, a black hoodie and red sweatpants. By the way, subscribe to her newsletter, it’s great.the best detox shampoo- My hairdresser turned me on to this stuff (love you, Aubry) and I haven’t gone back since. It helps me get an extra day or two between washing because it gets my hair clean without stripping it.
tinted moisturizer- just enough coverage and SPF, what more do you need? I like to think this keeps me from looking like a complete zombie at daycare drop-off.
dressy shoes- sneakers are great, but so are stilettos and I’m not sure why I ever stopped wearing them?
A dry brush that doesn’t hurt- I ordered several dry brushes when I was postpartum because it’s supposed to help with lymphatic drainage surrounding the c-section scar (who knows), but they all hurt or would get gross after being in my shower for a week. I finally found this silicone handled one that is so good, I’ve been dry brushing every day!
the prettiest candle I own - There’s nothing like a fancy candle to liven up your space and I got this one for myself while doing some Christmas shopping (oops). I can’t even describe how amazing it smells but also can’t wait to reuse the canister once it’s been burned through.
our new bedding- Love that the new year is an excuse to refresh normally mundane things like duvet covers (or is it? maybe i’m making that up). bought this set in cream but the green is lovely, too.
pinterest- scrolling through outfit, home and beauty inspo and avoiding the comparison mind-trap that is instagram? yes. please.
chain necklace- my husband bought me this one for my 30th and I think it’s the perfect way to dress up a t-shirt.
cardigan. jeans. jacket. shoes. belt. bag.
closet realizations…..
In case you’re new here, I’m attempting to partake in no-buy January and also doing 30 days of outfits on TikTok. So I guess you could say 2024 has been my year of realizing things (a la Kylie Jenner, my favorite philosopher).
I wear denim on a daily basis- mostly jeans, sometimes the aforementioned trench, and occasionally one of these jumpsuits (I own in black and white).
A solid black sweater is a must this time of year (eyeing this one)
If we’re going by cost-per-wear, this bag was a quality investment.
I own a LOT of sneakers, this pair and this pair are my most worn. Could’ve skipped on buying these, but they're cute.
If I buy something in a color outside my usual palette, I usually end up getting rid of it.
making your daily life the occasion to shop for, as opposed to a specific event, is the easiest way to build a practical wardrobe.

hmm okay good question. I would say maybe get the reverse, color wise (like if yours are black with white stripes I'd buy the white with black stripes)!
I'm also trying to do a no buy January but am feeling very tempted to purchase a new pair of Adidas trainers. From my CPW spreadsheet I've worn them almost 60 times and I'm feeling them start to wear through. Do you think it seems sensible to purchase another pair of trainers so that my original pair that I love don't need replaced so quickly? I'd need to plan this in as a February purchase though :D
