Listen, did I publish a newsletter this week that had the words ‘fall wishlist’ in the title but forget to include an actual wishlist? Yes, yes I did. Forgive me! I’m a little scatter brained.
Anyway, to make up for that substack sin, I have created some fun transitional outfit ideas- most of which include pieces on my fall wishlist.
Anthropologie dress (under $200) // Jil Sander bag // under $50 swirl earrings // Simone Rocha brogues (I can’t stop thinking about these) // Loewe sunnies (I wear mine often, a great funky neutral piece)
Ordered this dress for myself! The kind of thing I would wear to a daytime event that I could still comfortably run errands in after.
grey sweater // white tee // sunnies // jeans // Marni bag // studded boots // heart necklace
My ideal everyday Fall ensemble. Great jeans, basic tee, cozy sweater and boots with a raffia tote because I refuse to believe we can only wear those in the summer.
leather bomber jacket // Bode tee // white skirt // baseball cap // navy sneaks // sunnies // handbag
Why not pair your summer whites with a brown leather jacket and baseball cap? Perfect way to transition those summer staples.
red barn jacket // grey tank // leggings // le teckel bag // black slides // pendant necklace
An iteration of what I wear to daycare drop-off on days where I feel like I have my sh*t together. Also, another barn jacket that you hopefully haven’t seen before- I love the red.
trench coat // dress // Coach Brooklyn bag // shell necklace // tortoise sunnies // white studded flats
A fancy-ish dress with a trench coat and flats? Yes, please. A shell necklace because I like to think they’re similar to raffia totes and add a touch of playfulness to a Fall look.
BTW….
A very fun, under the radar piece - this Barbour collab jacket.
a very useful tool to keep in your bag- I use it on my daughter’s hair, too.
love the look of this tee under a crewneck!
On a personal note- a very happy birthday to my wonderful husband, who turned 32 yesterday. Never been more grateful to celebrate!
xx, Liz
SUCH a fan of the raffia and shell necklaces as these unexpected textural plays in fall. And happy birthday, Mr. Influence!
I gasped at that Flower Mountain coat!!
